Hi guys, I know what you’re thinking. Where have you been. I’ve taken a long hiatus from social media, writing, and blogging since February. It was highly needed in my case. I know, I know ‘the innocent always look guilty when they defend themselves.’ I get it, you have every right to be mad. First, I just want to say thank you to the 50+ of you that reached out via email to me. Yes, I’m alright and am frankly doing great. So no need to worry. As many of you know, I am a student. This was my first year of college and I was figuring things out. With finals, studying, and just having fun, I wanted to distance myself from social media. Many of you know, Eli Bauer is my pen-name (if you don’t know, Eli is my nickname and the name of someone who is very important to my life, and Bauer is a pen-name :) ) and I’ve been balancing things on my plate. Hey everyone and happy new years! Today, for my first blog post of 2018, I'll be reviewing, By Water's Edge, the newest novel written by USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Kelly Anne Blount. I've reviewed all of her published, and interviewed her (if you haven't read those, go now :) ) REVIEW By Water's Edge tells the story of Princess Aria. She lives in the merworld, and merfolk are forbidden to go to the surface. The world is divided by mermaids and dragons, and basically none of them can go to the surface. Mermaids have the ocean, and dragons have the mountains and the sky. I've never, ever thought of this combination in my life. It hooked me right away. What I liked about it was, Blount went into detail of the world's 'history' and her world was truly believable. Aria's mother died (wink, to the Little Mermaid) and she lives with her father, the King and her sister whom I hate so much. I seriously wanted to punch, Gemma, so
